The Kitante Primary School's sports grounds roared to life on Sunday 3rd May as Uganda Journalists’ Association (UJA) hosted its 4th edition of the Media Gala, a landmark one-day competition that drew more than 300 participants from different media houses and organisations.

The Media Gala brought together journalists from a number of media houses and organisations including Rest TV, UBC TV, Vision Group, Impact FM, Salt TV, Family FM , Uganda Sports Press Association among others. This transformed the Kitante into a vibrant arena of colour, competition, and media pride.

This edition drew the largest spectator crowds, with fans packing the sidelines to cheer on their football teams, while tightly contested encounters kept the energy levels high throughout.
Beyond the media organisations, the Media Gala also featured visiting select football clubs from the Statehouse Special Task Force on Lands and Judiciary Committee, who faced off in the knockout stages. This was a gesture that organisers said reflected the media fraternity's growing ties with surrounding communities through sport.

When the dust settled, MCI emerged winners after putting up a commanding all-round performance against Rest TV in a highly contested penalty shoot out, claiming the converted Media Gala title. This was a clean sweep that drew widespread admiration from fellow competitors.
